SENIOR STAFF AT HEAD OFFICE ANGELO MOUZOUROPOULOS
Early in his career, he became founder Director of International Ship Management Ltd., a newly formed Company within the Balfour, Williamson/Lloyds Bank International Group. The company prospered and managed 11 vessels within its first year of operation. One of the vessels under management belonged to the Hamburg-Sud Shipping Group (a member of the Oetker Group of Germany) with whom a close business relationship developed. He subsequently joined the Board of their newly formed London Company Nautconsult Shipping Co. Limited. This company operated a modern fleet of up to 22 vessels consisting of bulk carriers, car carriers, multi-purpose vessels, container ships, tankers and a sheep carrier.. After the purchase of Furness Withy by the Oetker Group, he joined the Board of Furness Withy in January 1993 and became a joint Managing Director in January 1995, a position which he held until July 2000. His primary responsibilities included Ship Management, Insurance, UK and Overseas Property. Whilst at Furness Withy, he was also a Director of the Liverpool & London P&I Association Limited and the Liverpool & London P&I Management Limited, The North of England P&I Association Ltd., a member of the council of the UK Chamber of Shipping and a Director of the Chamber of Shipping Ltd., as well as Chairman of its Legal Insurance and Documentary Issues Committee, a member of the Executive Committee of the British Maritime Law Association, Vice Chairman of the Cayman Islands Shipowners’ Advisory Council, a member of the General Committee of Lloyds Register of Shipping.

Angelo
Mouzouropoulos, a London Greek, joined the Registry in August 2001.
From February 2002,until April 2005 he also served on the Board of the
Belize Port Authority. He has extensive experience in the shipping industry
ranging from shipowning and ship management to ship broking, ship agency,
consultancy and arbitration work. He is a Fellow of the Institute of
Chartered Shipbrokers and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
His expertise is in the word-wide operation of a wide range of vessel
types under a variety of flags manned over the years by widely differing
nationalities.
