Regulated Area:
The Indian Ocean Tuna Commission includes the entire Indian Ocean and its adjacent seas.

Belize’s Status in IOTC
Belize is currently a full Member/Contracting Party of IOTC.

Capacities and Limitations:
This Commission has recently implemented strict measures which now limits the number of  vessels a party can introduce in this area.  Belize can introduce vessels based on its fleet development plan accepted by the Commission.
