Requirements for the appointment of a Deputy Registrar

The following documents are required to be submitted for consideration for appointment as Deputy Registrar of IMMARBE:

Corporate Profile:

  1. A formal letter requesting appointment as a designated office, specifying the nominated individual within the office for the deputy registrar role and the location for the operation.
  2. Legal documents such as certificate of incorporation, certificate of incumbency, operational details, and company’s organizational structure.
  3. Professional profiles including a copy of the biographical data page of a valid passport & resumes for each shareholder, director, managers, and other key personnel in the company.
  4. Details of the company’s professional advisor including your auditors.
  5. Details of corporate affiliations and group associations.
  6. Two business references from reputable entities on official letterheads, signed and stamped.
  7. A bank confirmation letter issued on the bank’s official letterhead, confirming the existence of an account held in the entity’s name.
  8. Possession of an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certificate.
  9. Details of membership of any maritime regulatory organization or equivalent.
  10. Any other information that may be considered relevant to the assessment of the appointment.

Individual Profile:

  1. A clear copy of the biographical data page of a valid passport of the individual to be appointed as Deputy Registrar.
  2. Comprehensive curriculum vitae with a recent picture of the individual to be appointed as Deputy Registrar.
  3. Educational Certificates and Training Certificates (listed on the CV) of the individual to be appointed as Deputy Registrar.
  4. Two personal references affirming the nominee’s character and qualifications, contact information of the referee must be included.

Performance and Additional Information:

  1. A one-year business plan detailing strategies to promote the Belize flag within the target region. The plan should outline specific marketing measures to be implemented, including participation in exhibitions, seminars, and conferences, as well as the resources to be utilized to support the promotion and development of the Belize flag.
  2. Details of all relevant experience relating to the operation of the shipping register or other similar operations.
  3. Details of all other appointments from other shipping registries.
